Readers and Animators

Lectors proclaim the Word of God; animators help lead prayer and song with clarity and faith.

Readers (lectors) prepare the Scriptures carefully so that God’s Word is heard clearly and prayerfully at Mass. Animators assist the assembly with responses and hymns, helping everyone participate fully. Formation and scheduling are provided through the parish liturgy coordinator.

Practicing Catholics who are comfortable speaking before the assembly are invited to train as readers or animators.
