Altar Servers

Young people and adults who assist the priest at the altar with reverence and care.

Altar servers carry the cross and candles, assist with the missal and vessels, and help the liturgy flow smoothly. Training covers practical tasks and the spiritual meaning of service at the altar. Servers are expected to arrive prepared, dressed neatly, and attentive throughout Mass.

Youth who have received First Holy Communion—and adults when needed—may serve after training.
